The 2017 March to the Mountain has been cancelled due to the threat of severe weather in relation to Hurricane Irma.

It is with deep sadness that we have made the very difficult decision to cancel the 2017 March to the Mountain 9/11 Memorial walk due to the threat of inclement weather.  We have been advised by our county leaders that harsh weather is very likely in our area, and public safety is our main concern. We are working quickly to notify each of our registrants, volunteers, and sponsors of this change, and would greatly appreciate your help in spreading the word.
We look forward to next year’s March, and hope that you will join us. We are grateful for your support, and very thankful for your understanding.
You are welcome to call us for any questions or concerns.

The March to the Mountain is a 6.5-mile memorial walk that begins and ends at the West Loop of Pine Mountain. The walk begins at 9:11am on Monday, September 11th.  Check-in starts at 8:00am. If you do not want to walk the entire distance, you are more than welcome to join in at any point along the way with the group. Transportation will be provided if you need to take a break. We would like to finish together. There is no cost to participate in the walk. It is simply a walk to celebrate the freedom of America and all those who have died for it.  We hope you bring your American flag and join us this year in our trek to the Mountain.
